# Items & crafting

Every time you craft, stats for items are random. Meaning it can receive extra protection or debuff. Also some of the items can be automaticly upgraded to next tier or downgraded to lower but it will still keep their unique stats. For example, even if stone sword becomes diamond one, it will be still two handed.

{% endhint %}

#### Item types

Different types of items might have different [type of damage](https://wiki.fatex.eu/arpg/getting-started/item-stats) as well. For example bow has projectile and weapon damage, meaning, 100% extra damage should be divided by 2. For example, if bow has 8 damage and 300% extra damage, only 4dmg will be boosted, 4x3= 12 in addition 4 as other weapon damage in total 16 dmg in result.

Some of the item types also might have some different attack effect, like AOE attack.
